An Air India Express flight bound for Sharjah declared a mid-air emergency on Friday evening due to hydraulic failure shortly after taking off from Tiruchirappalli (Trichy) airport. The flight, carrying 140 passengers, has been circling over Trichy airspace for two hours to burn off fuel before attempting a safe landing. The Trichy airport director confirmed the technical issue and assured that the plane would land without incident. Hydraulic failure affects critical systems such as landing gear, brakes, and flaps.
