Referring to the recent case of Amritpal Singh, whose body was transported without a ceremonial guard of honour, Mann expressed his disapproval of the military's protocol, highlighting the necessity of honouring all service members who perished in the line of duty, regardless of the cause. The CM announced the Punjab government's policy of providing such individuals with Rs 1 crore ex gratia payment.
