Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister Ashish Patel was injured in a road accident on the Mirzapur-Prayagraj Highway near Meja Road. According to the reports, the accident occurred when the vehicle leading the convoy applied emergency brakes to avoid a collision with a motorcycle. The minister sustained injuries to his leg and chest due to the collision of the vehicles in his convoy, the reports said. He is currently undergoing treatment at a trauma centre in Mirzapur.
