In Bihar's Mohanpur area, a series of cattle theft incidents prompted the attention of Mohanpur OP in-charge SHO Nandkishore Yadav. His investigations led to the discovery of a gang hailing from Nalanda. Acting on a tip-off about an imminent cattle theft, the police team apprehended three thieves along with a truck and a pickup vehicle. The captured thieves provided information about other gang members, prompting SHO Nandkishore Yadav and his team to initiate a pursuit. Tragedy struck when the pursuing team was met with gunfire from the gang members, resulting in SHO Yadav sustaining a bullet wound above his eye. Currently undergoing treatment, his condition is being closely monitored, as confirmed by Vinay Kumar, SP Samastipur.
