Two people have died and 36 are missing following cloudbursts in Himachal Pradesh on Thursday. One incident occurred near a hydroelectric power project at Samej Khad in Shimla's Rampur area. Early morning alerts prompted rescue operations involving the National Disaster Response Force, Indo-Tibetan Border Police, police, and home guards. Another cloudburst was reported in the high mountains of Shrikhand Mahadev in Kullu district. Union Health Minister and BJP President JP Nadda has urged party workers to join the rescue efforts. Nadda spoke with Himachal Chief Minister Sukhwinder Sukhu, offering central government assistance, and directed BJP workers to engage in relief work. He also communicated with former CM and LoP Jairam Thakur and BJP State President to coordinate efforts. Rescue operations continue as authorities work to locate the missing and provide aid to affected areas.
