DD Sports Channel to Not Telecast Live Beijing Winter Olympics 2022 Opening And Closing Ceremonies

DD Sports channel will not telecast live the opening and closing ceremonies of the Beijing Olympics. Prasar Bharati CEO Shashi Shekhar Vempati made the announcement in this regard. The development came moments after the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) announced that the Indian envoy would not attend the Beijing Winter Olympics 2022 and accused China of politicising the event. The decision was taken after reports surfaced that China made a Galwan soldier the torchbearer of the event.
