Deepinder Goyal has highlighted the Indian scientists behind Temple’s Brain Flow technology, calling for greater recognition of researchers. The Temple and Zomato founder introduced the team behind the first continuous wearable measurement of blood flow to the brain, involving scientists from IISc Bengaluru, SISSA Trieste and IIT Bombay.
Deepinder Goyal has highlighted the Indian scientists behind Temple’s Brain Flow technology, calling for greater recognition of researchers in the country. The founder of Temple and Zomato noted that India celebrates actors, cricketers and entrepreneurs but should also honour scientists. He introduced the core team responsible for the first continuous wearable measurement of blood flow to the brain: Dr Divya Gulati and Dr Sanchit Gupta from IISc Bengaluru, Dr Yukti Chopra from SISSA Trieste, and Nitish Kumar from IIT Bombay. Goyal explained that the brain uses 20 percent of the body’s blood supply and controls hormones, sleep, immunity and repair. The supply declines with age, yet hospitals can only capture single snapshots. Temple’s device provides real-time monitoring during daily life.
