After the attack, the victims went to the Mianwali Nagar police station to file an FIR but were allegedly made to wait until the assailants arrived. Allegations have been made that the police refused to take action against the attackers and were allegedly biased towards them. The woman claimed that in the absence of her husband, the attackers engaged in eve-teasing, verbal abuse, and physical assault, including biting her in the arms.
