An RTI inquiry has led to the discovery of academic misconduct involving two professors at Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University in Uttar Pradesh's Jaunpur. The inquiry was initiated after 18 D Pharma students astonishingly passed their examinations with high marks despite having written 'Jai Shri Ram', names of well-known cricketers, and other unrelated content in their answer sheets. The incident surfaced when two student leaders demanded a re-evaluation the examination papers through an RTI request. The student leaders alleged that the professors had taken bribes from the students to pass them. Following this, the accused professors have been suspended. 'Jai Shree Ram' in Exam Paper: Four Students of Purvanchal University in Jaunpur Pass Pharmacy Exam After Writing 'Jai Shree Ram' and Names of Cricketers, Teachers Accused of Taking Money To Pass Them.
