The incident occurred following a clash between Makrana and Shiv Singh Shekhawat, leader of the Rashtriya Karni Sena, both prominent figures in the Rajput community. Videos from the scene show an injured Makrana slumped on a sofa, his face bloodied. He has been rushed to a hospital for treatment. Shekhawat has also alleged an attack on him.
