Jaydeep Apte Arrested: Maharashtra Police Arrest Sculptor of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Statue That Collapsed in Malvan’s Rajkot Fort
Apte was booked in connection with the statue collapse of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at Rajkot Fort in Sindhudurg. It must be noted that last year, Apte executed the contract to make the 35-foot statue of the Maratha warrior king, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi had unveiled.
In the latest development in the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj statue collapse incident, the Maharashtra police arrested sculptor Jaydeep Apte. Apte was booked in connection with the statue collapse of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at Rajkot Fort in Sindhudurg. It must be noted that last year, Apte executed the contract to make the 35-foot statue of the Maratha warrior king, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled at the fort in Malvan tehsil on Navy Day, December 4. Earlier, the police had arrested Chetan Patil, the structural consultant of the Shivaji Maharaj statue that collapsed in the Malvan from Kolhapur.
