Sadaf Fatima, a 45-year-old Additional Deputy Vice President at HDFC Bank's Vibhuti Khand branch, reportedly collapsed and died while working at her desk on September 24, allegedly due to work pressure. Following her untimely death, Samajwadi Party (SP) Chief Akhilesh Yadav took to X, expressing deep concern over the implications of such incidents on the mental health of employees. He criticized the BJP government's "failed economic policies," stating that these have led to increased workloads and diminished employee well-being. Yadav emphasised that the real measure of a country's progress lies in the mental health and happiness of its citizens, not just economic figures.
