A man accused of rape and murder was beaten to death by a mob in West Bengal's Medinipur. The incident unfolded after the death of a woman who was allegedly abducted, poisoned, and found naked in a field behind her house on October 4. According to the victim’s family, she had gone to graze cows and goats when she was picked up by unidentified individuals. Despite being rushed to the hospital, she succumbed to her injuries on Sunday morning.
