Mumbaikars were in for a surprise when heavy rains coupled with thunderstorms and lightning stormed the city on Wednesday evening. On the other hand, Mumbai and its neighbouring city Thane went into dark mode at around 5 pm after heavy rains, and dark clouds took citizens by surprise. Soon, #MumbaiRains started to trend on Twitter with netizens sharing their concerns and even questioning the weather department.
