A criminal, who was allegedly running away after a chain-snatching attempt in Uttar Pradesh, was injured in an encounter with the police in Mathura. Speaking about the incident, SSP Shailesh Kumar Pandey said, "A criminal named Gopal Goswami was injured. He was shot in the leg. His associate Manish has been arrested." The SSP said that the duo were running away after a chain-snatching attempt. Pandey also said that more than 15 cases are registered against the accused.
