Congress on Tuesday, October 17, accused Union Home Minister Amit Shah of “lying” for claiming that the first IIT, IIM, and AIIMS in the country were built by the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP). Congress shared a video on X, formerly Twitter, that shows Amit Shah saying the top institutes of India were built by the BJP during a political rally in poll-bound Chhattisgarh on Monday, October 16. "Amit Shah is two steps ahead of PM Modi in telling lies. The truth is that the work of giving 'IIT, IIM, AIIMS to India was done by Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru.
