According to the Election Commission's website, results.eci.gov.in, Gaurav Gogoi lost the Jorhat seat in the Assam Election Result 2026 by 23,182 votes. Gogoi was defeated by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Hitendra Nath Goswami, who got 69,439 votes against 46,257 polled by Gogoi.
