The National Conference and the Congress alliance made a sweeping victory in the LAHDC-Kargil Elections 2023. Both parties won 22 seats in the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council-Kargil election on Sunday, October 8. The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) only could win 2 seats. The Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC)-Kargil election held in October 2023 was the first poll to be conducted in the Union Territory of Ladakh since its split from Jammu and Kashmir in 2019.
