Ruturaj Gaikwad was in some mood for big-hitting as he slammed 20 runs in one over during the India vs Bangladesh Asian Games 2023 men's singles semifinal on October 6. The Indian captain took on Bangladesh's Ripon Mondol in the third over of the innings, hitting two sixes on the leg-side with a couple of pull shots. He then backed it up with two fours, this time on the off-side. This over yielded a total of 21 runs with India fighting back after losing Yashasvi Jaiswal pretty early for a duck. India eventually ended up chasing down Bangladesh's paltry total of just 97 in 9.2 overs to enter the men's cricket final in the Asian Games 2023.
