Azam Khan had a tense encounter with a fan after he was dismissed for a golden duck during the Pakistan national cricket team vs USA national cricket team match in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 on June 6. The Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman came in to bat in the 13th over after Shadab Khan's dismissal and was trapped lbw off the first ball he faced, off Nosthush Kenjige. He went for a review but that did not change the outcome as he had to make his way back to the crease. As he returned to the pavilion, he was seen having a staredown with a fan who allegedy fat-shamed him by calling him 'Mota Hathi' (Fat elephant).
