The former Pakistan national cricket team captain looked to be having a good total under his belt but his innings was cut short for 37 runs. Babar Azam was making a return to the Pakistan national cricket team after not featuring in the last two Tests against England at home.
Babar Azam was deceived by an Adam Zampa delivery which disturbed his woodwork during the AUS vs PAK 1st ODI 2024 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). The right-hander, who was batting well and had played some good shots, failed to judge the length of the delivery which skidded on and hit the off-stump as it got past the bat. The former Pakistan national cricket team captain had struck four fours in his 44-ball 37-run knock and looked set for a big score but Adam Zampa ended his innings, taking the third wicket for Australia.
