Babar Azam was greeted with a warm welcome from the crowd that had gathered at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore as he walked out to bat in the Pakistan vs Bangladesh match in Asia Cup 2023 on Wednesday, September 7. The right-hander, the number one ranked ODI batter, walked out amidst the crowd chanting his name with echoes of it filling the whole stadium. However, his innings was cut short by Taskin Ahmed, who bowled him for 17 runs off 22 balls.
