With significant chances of rain hovering over Colombo, there is a possibility of rest of the Asia Cup 2023 games being washed out by rain. That will make Pakistan, who have already won the first match, to qualify for the final. The other finalist will be chosen between India and Sri Lanka.
The Asia Cup 2023 Group stages matches are over and now it has entered the Super Four stages. The first match of the Super Four stage took place in Lahore, which was also the last match in Pakistan before the competition moves to Sri Lanka. Pakistan defeated Bangladesh and move to the top of the Super Four table. The other matches of the round, set to be hosted by Colombo face a significant rain threat. If all matches since are washed out by rain, Sri Lanka and India will be tied on points and the second finalist against Pakistan will be selected by coin toss.
