ENG vs AFG ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 Innings Update: Adil Rashid, Mark Wood Shine With the Ball As England Bowls Out Afghanistan For 284
Afghanistan couldn't capitalise on a good start provided by Rahmanullah Gurbaz as they collapsed in the middle and could only set a target of 285 on the board.
England restricted Afghanistan to a middling total of 284 in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 clash at Delhi after winning the toss and opting to bowl first. Afghanistan were off to a great start with Rahmanullah Gurbaz (80) taking on the England bowlers upfront. But after the fall of first wicket, they had a collapse. Ikram Alikhil scored a half-century and supported by the likes Rashid Khan and Mujeeb ur Rahman, he took the score beyond 250. Adil Rashid (3/42) had a very good outing registering his best bowling figures in the competition. He was provided good support by Mark Wood (2/50).
