Gautam Gambhir found himself amidst controversy when a video of him showing middle finger to fans amidst 'Kohli. Kohli' chants went viral. Gambhir was commentating in the Asia Cup 2023 and the incident happened at the Pallekele Stadium in Kandy. He issued a clarification later where he mentined that the crowd had a number of Pakistanis giving anti-India slogans. He also added that the crowd were also commenting on Kashmir which triggered such a reaction from him.
