The Afghanistan all-rounder was quick to attack the ball and throw it at the stumps with Andile Phehlukwayo out of his crease. Afghanistan bowlers had a great day in the middle as they bowled South Africa out for just 106 runs.
Gulbadin Naib showed excellent presence of mind as he pulled off an impressive run out of Andile Phehlukwayo during the Afghanistan vs South Africa 1st ODI 2024 on September 18. This happened in the 10th over of the innings when Allah Ghazanfar appealed for an LBW against Andile Phehlukwayo. The left-hander subsequently stepped out of his crease as Allah Ghazanfar and Rahmanullah Gurbaz appealed hard for a run-out and Gulbadin Naib seized the opportunity and pounced on the ball before flicking it towards the stumps with the southpaw out of his crease. This was the seventh wicket that South Africa lost in the match before being bowled out for just 106 runs in 33.3 overs.
