Suryakumar Yadav has been handed the responsibility to lead India in the T20 format. Shubman Gill appointed the vice-captain in both ODI and T20 format.
After a long and much anticipated selection meeting, BCCI have finally announced the Team India squad for ODIs and T20Is which will tour Sri Lanka under the new coach Gautam Gambhir. As previously reported, Suryakumar Yadav has been handed the T20I captaincy. Shubman Gill has been appointed the vice-captain in both formats. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are both part of the ODI squad and Rohit will continue leading. Youngster pacer Harshit Rana is included in the ODI squad. Riyan Parag has been included in both ODIs and T20Is. Shreyas Iyer retains his position in the ODI squad. Rishabh Pant makes a comeback in ODIs.
