Pakistan beat Canada by seven wickets to register their first win of ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Batting first, Canada were restricted to 106/7 with the Pakistan bowlers mounting a comeback after Saad Bin Zafar's side had gotten off to a positive start. In response, Pakistan chased down the total in 17.3 overs with three wickets with 15 balls to spare. Mohammad Rizwan starred in the run chase with a composed half-century. With this win, Pakistan have kept alive their hopes of making it to the Super Eight round. They have only one match left, against Ireland.
