Rohit Sharma's mother, Purnima Sharma, much like a billion Indians, was proud of her son's achievement and expressed it by hugging and kissing him after Team India's celebration of their T20 World Cup 2024 success at the Wankhede Stadium. The Men in Blue performed a victory parade in Mumbai, which was attended by a sea of fans and later, attended a felicitation ceremony at the Wankhede Stadium where the BCCI presented the T20 World Cup-winning team with a sum of Rs 125 crore, as was announced before.
