The premier fast bowler had returned to Pakistan's playing XI after not featuring in the last Test vs Bangladesh earlier this year. Shaheen Afridi has not had the best of times with ball in hand, picking up just one wicket in the Multan Test which Pakistan lost to England by an innings and 47 runs.
Shaheen Shah Afridi opened up for the first time since being dropped from the Pakistan cricket team for the remainder of the PAK vs ENG Test matches 2024. The ace fast bowler, once a mainstay of Pakistan's bowling, has not been at his best of late and had a very poor outing alongside the others, where he ended up taking just one wicket and giving away 120 runs in 26 overs as England amassed a gigantic total of 823/7d. Shaheen Afridi, along with Naseem Shah and ex-captain Babar Azam were dropped from the remainder of the Test series. Taking to 'X', the 24-year-old wrote, "Wishing Team Pakistan the best of luck!
