Shubman Gill missed India's ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 opener against Australia due to being diagnosed with dengue. The initial reports suggested he will miss the Afghanistan match, although will travel with the squad in Delhi. But now BCCI has announced that he will not travel with the team and will stay in Chennai to stay under medical supervisions.
