The Indian left-hander will look to help bring about a change in fortunes for Adelaide Strikers' a side which has managed to win just one match so far. Smriti Mandhana had a magnificent time in the middle for Sydney Thunder in 2021 where she had scored 114 off 64 in one of the matches.
Smriti Mandhana received her Adelaide Strikers' debut cap from Megan Schutt and Tahlia McGrath ahead of the team's match against Brisbane Heat. The India women's cricket team left-hander has previously played for Brisbane Heat, Hobart Hurricanes as well as Sydney Thunder in the WBBL. Smriti Mandhana was earlier roped in by Adelaide Strikers as a pre-draft signing. Adelaide Strikers have had a tough time so far, winning one out of four matches and sit right at the bottom of the WBBL 2024 points table.
