On Day 1, a Bangladesh cricket team fan, known as 'Tiger Robi' (Tiger Robby) had to be admitted to a hospital in Kanpur with several reports claiming that he was attacked by Indian spectators. However, the Uttar Pradesh police rubbished such claims and stated that he was hospitalised because he fell sick. However, in another viral video, the Bangladesh national cricket team fan was seen claiming that he was punched several times by fans. " I was punched 3-4 times," he said in the viral video.
