Kohli, who started the Test with 8,947 runs, got dismissed on a duck in the first innings, struck his 31st fifty in the format in the second, and reached the 9,000-run barrier while doing so. Kohli is now the fourth Indian batter to reach the 9,000-run mark, with only Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, and Sunil Gavaskar ahead of him.
