Atletico Madrid have now secured three points after a thrilling last-minute win over RB Leipzig in their UEFA Champions League (UCL) 2024-25 opening match. Benjamin Sesko broke the deadlock early as he scored for RB Leipzig in the 4th minute. Antoine Griezmann scored an equaliser in the 28th minute which kept the hopes for Atletico Madrid alive. As per possession of the ball both teams were evenly matched. Atletico Madrid was better in terms of attacking but still failed to score till the last minute. Jose Maria Gimenez scored a screamer in the last minute which helped Atletico Madrid pull off a 2-1 win.
