Kai Havertz opened the scoring for Chelsea with a brilliant looping header but Salah equalized for the hosts through a penalty, after Reece James was shown the red card for handball on the line. The spoils were eventually shared between the second and third-placed sides in the Premier League 2021-22 table.
Chelsea held Liverpool to a 1-1 draw at Anfield, despite being reduced to 10 men at the halfway mark.
