The Los Blancos, earlier had reportedly decided to boycott the Ballon d'Or 2024 award ceremony in Paris with Vinicius Jr being pipped by Rodri to win the best player award. The Brazilian was a top choice to win the award but reports stated that he has been surpassed by Rodri to the trophy.
Real Madrid has been named 'Men's Club of the Year' at the Ballon d'Or 2024 trophy on October 29. The Los Blancos have had a sensational 2023-25 season, winning the Champions League title for the 15th time with a win over Borussia Dortmund in the final. Real Madrid also won the La Liga title last season for the 36th time. However, there were no representatives present from the club to collect the award reportedly due to Vinicius Jr not expected to win the Ballon d'Or 2024 award.
