Uruguay beat Brazil comfortably and picked up another three points in the CONMEBOL FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifiers. Darwin Nunez opened the scoring for Uruguay in the 42nd minute after heading in the ball past Ederson from a Maximiliano Araujo cross. Nicolas de la Cruz doubled the lead after receiving a brilliant pass from Nunez. Brazil had the chance to equalise but Rodrygo's free-kick hit the post.
