Day 8 of the Asian Games 2023 has been a memorable one for India on October 1 with them securing 15 medals throughout the day, nine coming through in only athletics. They enter Day 9 hoping for more as Sutirtha Mukherjee and Ayhika Mukherjee take on North Korean pair in Women's Doubles Semifinal in Table Tennis. Both Compound and Recurve Archery events will start with their elimination rounds. Squash, Badminton, Diving and Chess teams will be in action too. Women's Hockey Team, Women's Basketball Team and Women's Kabaddi Team will also be in action On Day 9. Athletics contingent will again compete in some medal events with Tejaswin Shankar beginning his campaign in Men's Decathlon event.
