The team of Arjun Erigaisi, R Praggnanandhaa, D Gukesh, Vidit Gujrathi, and Harikrishna Pentala secured a podium finish, which is India's 107th medal so far in the Asian Games 2023. The women's chess team also won the silver medal.
The medals continue to come for India with the men's chess team winning silver with a win over the Philippines. The men's team, comprising Arjun Erigaisi, Vidit Santosh Gujrathi, Pentala Harikrishna, R. Praggnanandhaa and D. Gukesh, helped India bag a 107th medal in Asian Games 2023. Iran won the gold medal in this event.
