Neeraj Chopra brought India her first medal in athletics since Norman Pritchard's silver medals in the 1900 Paris Games. Chopra also joined Abhinav Bindra as India's only individual Olympic gold medal winners.
Indian athlete Neeraj Chopra made history by winning the gold medal in the men's javelin throw event at the Tokyo Olympics 2020. As in the tradition, he sang the national anthem while standing on the podium.
