A brazen daylight robbery in Ayodhya has sparked panic after a woman dressed in a burqa looted a jewellery shop at gunpoint in the Agarwal Complex under the Rudauli police station area. The incident occurred around 2:00 pm on Thursday and was captured on CCTV, which is now widely circulating on social media. The footage shows the woman posing as a customer before suddenly grabbing gold jewellery and threatening staff with a pistol before fleeing with an accomplice. Around 26 grams of gold were reportedly stolen, valued at over INR 3.8 lakh based on current rates. Police have identified the suspects and launched a manhunt, adding that the weapon used may have been fake. The incident has raised serious concerns over public safety and security preparedness in the city.
