The 23-year-old Haryana boxer bagged the bronze medal after she lost the semifinal to Chinese Taipei's Lin Yu Ting. This was India's fourth medal in boxing at Asian Games 2023.
Parveen Hooda won the bronze medal after losing her women's boxing 57kg semifinal in Asian Games 2023 on October 4. The pugilist lost to Chinese Taipei's Lin Yu Ting and thus had to settle for the bronze medal in this event. This was India's 31st bronze medal in this edition of the Asian Games.
