Sift Kaur Samra Wins Gold Medal With Record Score, Ashi Chouksey Secures Bronze in Women’s 50m Rifle 3P Shooting Event at Asian Games 2023
This was India's second gold medal of the day and fifth overall in this Asiad so far. Sift Kaur Samra had earlier bagged a silver medal in the women's 50m 3p rifle team event.
India's gold rush continued on September 27 as Sift Kaur Samra bagged the top prize on offer in the women's 50m rifle 3p shooting event at Asian Games 2023. Samra, who had won a silver in the team event earlier on, went on to win gold in the final with a world record score of 469.6. She bettered the score of 467, which was set by Great Britain's Seonaid McIntosh earlier this year. That is not it! Ashi Chouksey, her compatriot, bagged the bronze medal in this event with a score of 451.9. China's Qiongyue Zhang won silver in this event. Asian Games 2023 Medal Tally Latest Updated.
