Novak Djokovic Likely To Miss Indian Wells and Miami Open After US Strengthens COVID-19 Vaccination Rules
The Serbian tennis star had missed the Australian Open and US Open last year and looks set to be barred from entering the United States because of his COVID-19 vaccination status. The US have made it mandatory for non-nationals to get vaccinated before entering the country.
Novak Djokovic is set to miss out on competing in the Indian Wells and Miami Open once again after the US amended their vaccination rules for non-nationals. According to a statement by the Transport Security Administration (TSA), non-US nationals flying to the country until April 10 will need to get vaccinated twice. Djokovic is thus set to miss out on these tournaments once again until and unless he is granted a special exemption.
