Nadal announced on his social media that the Davis Cup final will be his last tournament. Djokovic took to his social media account and posted a couple of posts where he expressed his emotions on Rafael Nadal's retirement. In the first one Djokovic wrote, "Rafa, one post is not enough to express the respect I have for you and what you have done for our sport." In the other post, Djokovic thanked Nadal for "pushing him to the very limit so many times in our rivalry that has impacted me the most as a player."
