Once again, Court of Arbitration of Sport (CAS) has postponed their verdict on Vinesh Phogat's appeal to be awarded joint-silver medal. After consideration of the arguments made by Vinesh Phogat's lawyers, they were originally scheduled to give a verdict on August 13. Now, they have postponed the verdict deadline to August 16 at 6 PM CEST (9:30 PM IST). Earlier, Vinesh Phogat was disqualified from the Paris Olympics 2024 Women's freestyle 50 Kg category final for not clearing the weigh-in on the day of the final.
