The government-run Indian Computer Emergency Response Team, also known as CERT-In, announced certain tips for cybersecurity and anti-virus best practices. The agency posted, "CERT-In is observing October 2024 as 'National Cyber Security Awareness Month'" and wrote "Cyber Surakshit Bharat". CERT-In posted on X advising the customers to use a good VPN for public Wi-Fi and follow 'anti-virus best practices' to stay safe. It said users should install anti-virus or anti-malware software from trustworthy vendors to defend their devices.
