France Orders Apple to Halt iPhone 12 Sales, Fix Existing Handsets for Above-Threshold Radiation Levels
According to the radio frequencies watchdog, it "ordered Apple to remove the iPhone 12 from the French market from September 12 due to the model exceeding the limit" for electromagnetic absorption by the body.
As a result of the iPhone 12's excessive electromagnetic radiation emissions, French regulators on Tuesday ordered Apple to stop selling the device and restore older models. The model releases more electromagnetic waves that can be absorbed by the body than is allowed as per the tests, according to the French organisation that controls radio frequencies, the ANFR. According to the radio frequencies watchdog, it "ordered Apple to remove the iPhone 12 from the French market from September 12 due to the model exceeding the limit" for electromagnetic absorption by the body.
