OpenAI API Now Supports Image Generation Feature With Text Prompts by Using GPT Image, DALL·E Models
OpenAI’s API now supports image generation from text prompts by using the GPT Image or DALL·E models.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman announced on April 24 that image generation is now accessible through the OpenAI API. The development will allow to create and edit images from text prompts using the GPT Image or DALL·E models. Previously, such capabilities were available within ChatGPT. There are some differences between the API version and the ChatGPT version. The API version offers enhanced control for developers. Users can adjust parameters like “moderation” sensitivity and can also select between quality and generation speed, and specify output formats, image backgrounds, and more. Currently, image generation feature is only available through the Image API. OpenAI Reportedly Developing ‘Shopping’ Feature Powered by Shopify, Likely To Introduce Soon for ChatGPT Users.
